Effective 4 November 2026
brainbot is a personal automation tool. Its owner built it for their own coursework and is its only intended user. It is not offered to the public, and it should not be used by anyone else.
brainbot copies the owner's course material to the owner's Google Drive, keeps a search index of it, and adds deadlines to a calendar in the owner's Google Calendar.
Google data is used only to provide the features above, for the owner. It is not sold, and it is not used for advertising or to train AI models.
brainbot runs on GitHub Actions, which processes the data while it runs. To find deadlines stated in course text, excerpts of course material may be sent to Anthropic's Claude API. Data from Google APIs is not otherwise shared.
Files stay in the owner's Google Drive. Sign-in credentials are stored as encrypted GitHub secrets and on the owner's own computer. Access can be removed at any time from the Google Account's third-party connections page. Files and calendars brainbot created can be deleted in Google Drive and Google Calendar.
brainbot's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Questions can be raised through this page's GitHub issues.
